New York Ride/Hike with Passion

This past Sunday, there was a Ride/Hike with Passion event ending in Elmsford, NY. One PV, Ed, rode his bike 25+ miles from Yonkers to Elmsford, NY, through parts of the Bronx Greenway, and the South and North County Trailways (the old New York Central Putnam Division Rail Trail), while Peggy, his wife, hiked 2.5 miles from Tarrytown to Elmsford, on the same trail. They finished their journeys together and enjoyed some much-needed rest and recuperation at the Captain Lawrence Brewery.

Seattle Live With Passion

This past Friday, the Seattle area held its LWP on a beautiful night in the Pacific Northwest. We had a wonderful turnout of friends, family and the PVs that were in town for the Seattle PV program. There was wonderful food, conversation, bubbles and of course, a little pickle-ball. (For those unfamiliar with pickle-ball, it is like playing life-size ping pong on a small tennis court.) Thank you to everyone who came and for your support of the PV Volunteers!

NJ Wine Tasting

All are invited to a special wine tasting event, with all proceeds going to help support the PV Volunteers.

Westfield, NJ

Every person or couple attending is asked to bring two bottles of wine with them. One bottle is used for tasting and the other will be put up for silent auction.

Live with Passion is Almost Here!

It isn't too late to plan a LWP event! If you are busy on the "official LWP" weekend, don't let that stop you. We have events happening all through April and May and beyond. The important thing is to get involved! Remember it doesn't have to be something big or elaborate it can be a walk around your neighborhood, a potluck dinner with family and friends, or even litter cleanup. Let your imaginations soar!

The Live with Passion t-shirts have been printed and are en-route as we speak. If you are holding an event, please let us know numbers and sizes of shirts you need sent to you. In the email, please also include the address to which you would like the t-shirts sent.

6th Annual Live with Passion April 27-28, 2013

The date has been set for the 6th Annual Live with Passion and now let the planning begin! We hope you consider joining in the LWP movement. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Last year we raised $15,000 to help support the efforts of the PVs.

Hosting an event is fairly easy and a lot of fun. We encourage you to look through this blog to get ideas of what events have been done in the past. It is time to use your creativity!

We also are in need of sponsors for the event. If you and/or your employer would be interested or if you know of someone that would like to help sponsor the event, please send them our way. Sponsorship starts at $50 and includes a logo on the LWP t-shirts as well as a t-shirt itself. In order to get the t-shirts to the printer on time, we must have all artwork to us by March 22nd.
