Potluck Picnic with Passion

Gainesville, FL...

Dear friend,

We hope that we can count on you.  Please join Lou and I and our family as we celebrate the 4th Annual LIVE WITH PASSION- A worldwide day of events to support the PV Volunteers.  As you know, our family have been going to West Virginia every summer, along with our grandchildren, to help the poor people in Wyoming County.  We repair houses, fix leaky roofs, build porches and ramps for the wheelchair bound, and many more compassionate work. Last year, the PV Volunteers lost their main source of financial support from the Passionist Organization.  As with many of the religious organizations, the Passionist priests also suffers from economic hardships and could no longer continue to support the PV Volunteers' work with the poor.  LIVE WITH PASSION, is a yearly event where we hope to gather our friends and families in support of the work that we do.  So mark your calendar now.  It will be a lot of fun!  See the announcement below......

Yours truly,

Atchison, KS....

Farmers Plant with Passion
and support the PV Volunteers!
The PV Volunteers is an organization that works with the people of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia.  During the summer PVs from all around the world volunteer their time to serve the people of West Virginia.  The projects of the PVs include: home repair, organizing a summer long tutoring program and week long kids’ camps, working in a food pantry, and visiting a long term care facility for mentally-challenged adults.  PV Volunteers empower individuals to better themselves and look past the endings towards the promising hope of seeds that bring new beginnings.
How can you be a part of it?
Choose one day out of the month of April and keep track of every acre you plant that day.  For every 25 acres you plant, donate 25 dollars to the PV Volunteers.  Every 25 dollars that you donate will go to support the work of the summer long program and enter your name into a drawing to win

With your help, the PV Volunteers can continue their mission of building, serving, and believing through their work in West Virginia.
Ag Risk Solutions will also make a contribution to the PV Program for every acre that is signed up.

Another Creative LWP Event!!!

Purchase with Passion in Kansas City!!!!

Participants will spend their day thrifting at some of Kansas City's best thrift stores.  At the end of their thrifting trip, they can estimate how much money they saved by buying clothes (or items) from a thrift store instead of a department store and donate the saved money to the PVs!

Thanks Mary and Rebecca for thinking of this idea and organizing it!

Benefit Concert at West Chester University

We will be spotlighting a few of the different events that will be taking place on or around the "Live with Passion" weekend in the coming days and weeks.

Today's spotlight is on a Concert to benefit the PVs at West Chester University on Saturday, April 23rd.  Our very own summer long PV, Eileen, has organized this event at her school to help support the program.  It sounds like it should be an entertaining afternoon and highly encourage anyone in the area to turnout and support her efforts.  Specifics about the event are at the bottom of the post.

Thank you Eileen for thinking creatively and organizing this to help the PVs!!!
